Q.  What ages are Atherton Lacrosse Camps for?
A.  All camps are open to boys and girls ages 5 and up!
  • Players will be divided based upon age and skill level in order to provide the best instruction possible.
  • Generally these age groups are defined similarly to the US Lacrosse system-  U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15 etc.
  • All players will register as a Beginner, Intermediate or Rookie Superstars(5 &6)- click on each division to find out more!
  • For players with more experience looking to take their game to new heights-  check out our new PRO SERIES camps!!

Q.  I have a teenager will they be grouped with younger players?
A.   We do our best to group by age and ability, depending on the number of participants that register each week.    

Q.
 My 7 year old has never played before--is this the right camp?
A.  Atherton Lacrosse Camps are perfect for new players of all ages--we make learning the FUNdamentals Fun!

Q.  My son/daughter has played for 1 or more seasons--is this the right camp?
A.  We offer Intermediate Level Camps for players with 1 or more seasons of play and work with them to take their game to the next level!

Q.  Who will be coaching the camps?
A.  Our coaches are typically college level players who have a strong background in Lacrosse and like working with children.
   We work to find coaches who have experience working with children, enjoy it and are really good at it.  We have high standards
   and want all of our campers to learn not only lacrosse but positive life lessons at camp!  

Q.  What is the ratio of coaches to campers?
A.  We strive for a ratio of 6 campers to each coach, often it is less than that.

Q.  Do you do Background Checks on your coaches?
A.  We take steps to ensure the highest level of safety within our programs.  We engage in a comprehensive background screening
process for all of our coaches through National Center for Safety Initiatives.  This is a part of a national
movement towards the standardization of safety programs for youth-serving organizations in this country.

Q.  What equipment is required?

 Beginner levels need stick & mouth guard and can be purchased locally or on-line at www.SlingitLax.com
  • Special Promotional Price of $25 to purchase a boys or girls stick when you register for any of our camps.
       Intermediate Level Boys require full gear and can be rented/purchased at  Sling It Lacrosse

Q.  What is the local Club in my area?
A.
 Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association is a hub of information and lists all clubs.

Q.  I ordered a lacrosse stick while registering for camp, when will I receive it?
A.  If you took advantage of the promotional discounted stick while registering you will receive it on the first day of camp.

Q.  Which sticks are the Special Promotional Discounted sticks for $25 with registration for camp?
A.  
The Boys Stick         The Girls Stick           Young Starter Stick  
   The sticks will be these or very similar to these, colors may vary.
    You can purchase a stick on the first day of camp if you didn't order it at the time of registration.
